Our Sea World Days

We love Sea World!  So, since we were down that way, we decided to spend two days there.  We found that you can buy a season pass for exactly the same price as a day price (that makes a lot of sense, right?!)  Sure wish other places like Lagoon or Disneyland did that, too :)

While we took turns trying out the new roller coaster, everyone else hung out at the kids rides.

Thank goodness they have a grandma that will take them on the twirly rides, because you sure won't find me on them!

We loved all of the shows this time!

But, our favorite was definitely the dolphin show.  It was so good that we went to it twice!

It's always fun to touch the sting rays

We also love the starfish pool

This time they taught us how to get a hug from a starfish.  If you are strong enough to have your hand the freezing cold water for a long time, the starfish will wrap itself around your hand.  It's pretty cool.

I think the highlight of our entire trip was the new dolphin area.  They have a pool with several dolphins that you can pet.  I wasn't able to get a good picture of us petting one because they are so playful that they like to splash water at people.  So, I didn't dare have our nice camera out.  But, this is one of the dolphins that we were able to pet.

My favorite part of Sea World is how in awe my kids always are.  Tanner and Kayla always leaves there wanting to be dolphin trainers.  This time Kayla got brave and went down to talk to one of the trainers after the Shamu show.  The trainer said that the best thing they can do to prepare to do something like that is to volunteer at a zoo.  She was so sweet to sit and visit with Kayla and Tanner about their dream.
