As Ashlyn came into our bedroom yesterday morning, Baylen asked her what she wanted to do that day. She immediately responded, "Play volleyball." I was curious to see what she would say if I asked her. So, I waited a few seconds and then repeated the same question. "Hey, Ashlyn, what do you want to do today?" Without a second of hesitation she said, "Clean."
I guess I'm fun like that :)
No, in all honesty, I love how she was trying to think of things that would make us happy. She knows that dad loves to work with her on her superstar volleyball skills and she knows that mom loves cooperative kids and a clean house. What a little sweetheart!
One other cute quote from Ashlyn… The other night before family prayer Ashlyn mentioned something that happened during the prayer at church. Knowing that there is no way she would have noticed that without her eyes opened, I addressed the issue of keeping our eyes closed during the prayer. She replied, "Mom, almost everyone at church has their eyes opened during the prayer."
Who knew?!!! I guess just about everyone but me ;)
