Our Hotel

In the past, we've always stayed right across the street from Disneyland.  With little kids, that seems to work out perfectly.  You can take little nap breaks during the day and it's easy to just push the stroller there (without having to pack it around in a shuttle).  However, since we weren't taking a stroller this time, and all of our kids are older, our travel agent talked us into staying at a hotel that was a little farther away.  We love it!!!  We stayed at the Staybridge Suites.  It was newer and nicer than the hotels that we've stayed at before, and it had some definite perks.  Plus, the shuttle ride was actually a nice time to sit and do nothing for awhile :) Here are a few pictures of our suite.  It had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room area with a sofa bed, and a little kitchen.

The kids had lots of fun in the pool.  They had a really nice pool area.  We didn't go to Disneyland on the day that we got there.  We did go to Downtown Disney for awhile but other than that we spent the entire afternoon and evening at the pool.  On Disneyland days, we would spend a good 10-14 hours at the park and then my crazy kids would still want to swim.

One big perk with this hotel was the food (although, you wouldn't know from this picture :).  They had an INCREDIBLE all you can eat breakfast.  They had just about everything that you could think of and it was all yummy.  Plus, each night that we were there they had what they called a sundowner where they offered free snacks and drinks.  I imagined that the snacks would be crackers or little packs of cookies.  However, their snacks were meatball subs, a huge variety of cheese, salad, and a nacho bar.  So, we counted their complementary snack as our dinner.  One night they had a complimentary barbecue.  It's a good thing, too.  My kids were die hard at Disneyland and other than the snacks I had in my backpack, they didn't really care to take time out to eat.

I should put in a disclaimer for all of these Disneyland posts.  We didn't want to take our big, expensive camera on this trip (and I'm glad we didn't).  But, that means that all of these pic were taken with Mickell's small, not so expensive camera.  You can definitely see a quality difference!
